This is the story of an innovative, life-affirming district.
As the only dedicated oncology biocluster in France, Campus Grand Parc has taken up the gauntlet to fast-track cancer research and innovation — all so that 500,000 patients worldwide each year can benefit from improved diagnosis, treatment and cures and enjoy a greater quality of life. The cluster brings together the very best researchers, talent and expertise to develop new solutions for patients, giving Europe's most promising researchers and developers unparalleled access to modern infrastructure and innovative technologies: five hospitals, five universities, 4000 health and bioscience facilities, laboratories, R&D centres, startups and 48 research teams, all centred around the Paris Saclay Cancer Cluster.
The Campus Grand Parc eco-district in Villejuif is for residents and scientists alike. This fully-fledged residential district has amenities for all to enjoy—from a wide range of housing to offices, shops, schools, parks and health facilities—all while staying true to its scientific roots.
The district backs onto the Parc des Hautes-Bruyères, providing a revitalising living environment that also serves to prevent urban heat islands. With direct connections to both the centre of Paris and Orly airport, it has been designed with alternative modes of transport in mind. It's all part of a sustainable approach that offers idyllic and leafy public spaces while meeting the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
With the Grand Paris Express nearing completion, Campus Grand Parc enjoys excellent transport links thanks to metro lines 14 and 15 and its proximity to the A6 autoroute.
Further public transport comes in the form of several bus routes connecting the district with neighbouring municipalities.
Soft mobility is available thanks to 35 kilometres of cycle paths connecting all the district's key areas.
The Campus Grand Parc district is emerging as a multimodal interchange hub thanks to the Grand Paris Express network.
